A group of 20 Berlin galleries are kicking off the autumn art season with a 46-hour conversation marathon at the city’s techno Mecca, Berghain. Showing up at the nightclub on a Friday and leaving on Sunday morning is not unheard of in Berlin, but the programme for Good to Talk—hosted in Berghain’s Canteen—will involve less dancing and more chatting. Around 200 artists, gallerists and speakers from diverse backgrounds will come together for sessions that will cover everything from fortune-telling, artificial intelligence, mock-studio critiques, performances, anti-depression massages, Kiev Art Week and how to start collecting. On Sunday afternoon, gallerists will take the stage for an “ask us anything” session. This collaborative project, which grew out of the gallerists’ desire to host a non-commercial event, is sure to be a fitting counterpoint to the first edition of the Art Berlin fair, just around the corner.
