New York’s Mnuchin Gallery is planning a mini-retrospective of work by the artist David Hammons for March 2016. It “is intended as a career survey that starts in the late 1960s and goes to the present”, says Sukanya Rajaratnam, a partner in the gallery. The show will include Hammons’s well-known bodies of work including early paintings, Body Prints and Tarp Paintings such as Untitled (2014), which was unveiled at Art Basel in June with a $3.2m price tag. The exhibition will also include works from Hammons’s newest series, Mirrors. “It is an exciting range and we are thrilled in anticipation,” Rajaratnam says.
