The site of the former “Bolshevik” confectionery factory in Moscow will become home to a “Tate Modern-style” art museum, according to its owner, Pavel Shishkin, who is the chairman of the Moscow-based property developer Tactics Group. Shishkin says the former sweet and cake factory, which was owned by the Chicago-based, multinational Kraft Foods Group until last spring, will be turned into an office complex and retail park with loft-style spaces and a contemporary art museum in a project expected to cost at least $200m, according to RIA Novosti. The site borders Leningradsky Prospekt, which is one of Moscow’s main thoroughfares.
