One of the museum’s most popular canvases, a monumental triptych of Monet’s garden pond at Giverny, is the centrepiece of this show, which brings together all of the impressionist’s late works in the collection. Other paintings on view include The Japanese Footbridge, 1920-22, and Agapanthus, 1918-19, as well as loans from other museums. Organised by MoMA’s chief curator of painting and sculpture, Ann Temkin, the display opened at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta this summer as part of an ongoing collaboration between the two institutions, with support from Bank of America.
