Botticelli Reimagined (5 March-3 July) at the Victoria and Albert Museum will be the largest Sandro Botticelli exhibition in London since 1930. The show will explore how artists and designers from the Pre-Raphaelites to today have responded to the Renaissance master. What may come as a surprise is the order of the presentation.

The exhibition will begin with present-day interpretations of Botticelli’s work, particularly new interpretations of his Birth of Venus (1482). The next section will look back at Botticelli’s “rediscovery” in the 19th century. The show will conclude with 43 paintings by Botticelli himself.
