"If a girl like me can think this stuff... then what?"
The exhibition "When the Stars Begin to Fall," which opens at the Studio Museum in Harlem on 27 March, examines the imagination of the American South through the eyes of 35 artists. But some, like Kara Walker, have a complicated relationship with their thoughts: they can be beautiful, but they can also be full of horrors.
