Sales Associate for Chelsea Art Gallery, NYC: Temp to Full

For our prestigious Chelsea contemporary art gallery, we are seeking a Sales Associate. The position entails a three-month temp period at a 20% sales commission rate (based on profit) plus benefits; should the relationship prove mutually beneficial, the Sales Associate will be offered a salaried full-time position at the gallery. A great opportunity for a self-starter who can set their own hours, work independently and bring a creative and strategic approach to developing clientele. Minimum of 3 years in arts sales with proven track record, either with a gallery, auction house or as an independent advisor; BA in art history and excellent communications, organizational and networking skills are essential.
